2.1 Update… Still Unlocked?!
So… I just finished up the 2.1 update. After I update my firmware through iTunes my iPhone was still unlocked! So pretty much I downloaded a whole bunch of crap for nothing (the 2.1 firmware from a website, bl3.9&4.6) oh well. My phone is good to go!
If anyone needs any help unlocking or jailbreaking your 1st gen iPhone with windows…. let me know! I would be more than happy to help.
2.1 Update
I know I know… I’m a little behind. I haven’t gotten around to updating my iPhone to the 2.1 firmware yet, mostly because I wasn’t aware that quickpwn 2.1 for windows was released! I previously unlocked my phone using winpwn, so I was constantly checking that site waiting and waiting and waiting for an update that still has yet to come. So… today, during some free time during work, I decided to do a little research. I feel like such an idiot! THOUSANDS of things came up on how to unlock/jailbreak the 2.1 firmware. Apparently I’m special.
So… I’m in the process of doing the MUCH needed update. I’m excited for better battery life, I felt like it died pretty quickly and that I was charging it all the time. Also… I’m excited to get rid of the little bubble with the 8 in it on my app store icon! lol. AND… I tried to download this Halloween app where you can carve a pumpkin but it required the 2.1 firware! I was soooo bummed…. but now I can download it, hooray!
