This is AWESOME
Look at how amazing technology is, it’s seriously incredible.

This ultrasound picture was taken at only 20 weeks! Look at what technology is allowing us to see! Our little girl sucking her thumb, isn’t she precious?!
I am so guilty
Communifaking. I think everyone I know, except maybe my parents, has done this before. Don’t know what it is? Let me fill you in. Have you ever been somwhere, maybe the mall or an airport, maybe you see somebody you know or you want to look busy? So… what do you do? You get out your cell phone and pretend to make a phone call or text, pretty much you just want look like you’re doing something. I am definitely a guilty party to this. I use to absolutely love going to the mall by myself, shopping alone is very productive. I didn’t want to look lame though, so I would try and talk on the phone almost the whole time. Sometimes I couldn’t get anyone on the phone though, so I would seriously just pretend like I was on the phone or I would start texting people. I know I am not the only one who does this either!!! According to ABC News, 74% of people between the ages of 18-24 admit to communifaking.

MacBook Summary So Far
I am still just as in love with my new MacBook as ever. At first I will admit it took a little getting use to, changing to a whole new operating system is a little complicated. After I adjusted, I came to a realization. In a fight, Mac would kick Microsoft’s ass, no competition. It seems as though my new computer is full of endless possibilities, I still continue to figure out and learn new things everyday. The fact that I can run two different operating systems simultaneously is absolutely unbelievable. You could never do something like that on a PC!
The fact that MacBook’s come with so much great software already on it is definitely a plus too. And it’s not a whole bunch of trials or useless crap like you get on a new PC. I remember when I got my HP Laptop a year ago it had so much junk on it when I turned it on for the first time. There were AOL and Rhapsody trials and tons of other things I made sure to get rid of immediately. With my MacBook though, it has great things on it there are actually useful like iLife. There is so much you can do with iLife! Love it. I purchased iWork ‘09 and it blows Microsoft Office out of the water. It’s easier to use and the fact that you can save your files in Office format is definitely useful. Unfortunately most of my friends, family, and co-workers haven’t made the revolutionary switch over to the Mac world, so being able to send them files they can open is a must. iWork makes that as easy as a click of a button.

Pretty much, in summary, my MacBook kicks ass. It runs smoother, faster, there aren’t a whole bunch of stupid viruses, and there isn’t a whole bunch of unnecessary crap going on! Anyone who is still stuck in the PC World and is too scared to make the big jump, I highly suggest you get on it! Trust me you will look back with no regrets.
It’s A….
GIRL!!!

For those of you that have trouble seeing what’s in the ultrasound, the first picture is the side view of her whole body and the second picture is of her cute little feet!
On February 5th we found out that we will be welcoming a beautiful little girl into the world in July! How exciting. That night we seriously went out and bought a ton of pink stuff, it was so much fun. I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated!

Fun with Photo Booth
Of course now that I have my MacBook, I had to play around with photo booth. My hair looks kind of reddish, weird. This one is definitely my favorite.

Parallels Review
For my job, we use our own computers and commute with them everyday. Recently I purchased a new MacBook. I had previously used a PC and just about everyone else in the company did as well except for one other person that had recently purchased a new MacBook as well. I discovered that our web-based system was only programmed to run on the newest version on Internet Explorer. For those of you with a Mac, you are probably very well aware that the newest version you can get is like 5.something while PC users are running the 8 or 9 version. Well this presented a problem, and obviously since it has to due with work and pretty much allowing me to do my job, it needed to be fixed right away. I finally decided that the best way to conquer this problem was by using parallels.
Well, I’m glad I did. Parallels definitely gets a thumbs up from me. After a simple installation of parallels and windows vista, I was able to get things up and running. The cool part is that I’m able to run them simultaneously as shown below.

(Internet Explorer and Safari on the same page at the same time!)
Suddenly all my Mac and Windows programs are merged and things are running smoothly. So, if there is anyone else out there like me that for some crazy reason needs to run windows on their Mac, I definitely recommend parallels.
